The University of Houston's M.D. Anderson Library receives approximately 23% of all U.S. government documents in circulation. They are received in several formats:
- Electronic: Most current documents from the GPO are only available in electronic format and can be found by going through the Government Documents search link in the UH Library Catalog. You can also find many Congressional hearings and reports through the LexisNexis Congressional database.
- Paper: Congressional, Executive, and Judicial branch hearings, reports, and other items are shelved in the library's basement.
- Microfiche: Housed in cabinets in the Access Services Room on the first floor of the library. Reader-printers are available nearby to make copies from microfiche. Assistance is available from the Service Desk.
- CD-ROM: Shelved in the Access Services Room, and can be checked out.
NOTE: Not all of our government documents are listed in the UH Library Catalog. For assistance with our government documents, please contact the M.D. Anderson Library Information Desk at 713-743-1050, or email the Gov Docs librarian, Alexandra Simons, at acsimons@uh.edu.
