The Houston & Texas History Collection at the University of Houston Libraries contains a wide range of materials that document the early history of Texas from the Spanish Colonial Era through the present. Additionally, materials chronicling the development and transformation of Houston and the surrounding areas into a metropolis of commerce and shipping are captured in photographs, documents, and ephemera that embody the spirit of this dynamic and diverse city.
