John H. Lienhard Collection

2013 marks the 25th anniversary year of The Engines of Our Ingenuity, a nationally-syndicated radio program in which UH Engineering Emeritus Professor John Lienhard observed the relationship between technology and culture. Lienhard wrote and hosted 1856 episodes of the show, which first ran locally on KUHF-FM on January 4, 1988, and soon aired nationally. The Professor John Lienhard Papers at the UH Libraries’ Special Collections document the history of the radio program (through audio recordings and transcripts) and Lienhard’s professional career (through correspondence, personal papers, and drafts of published works).
