J. Allyn Rosser's most recent collection of poetry, Misery Prefigured, published in 2001 by the Southern Illinois University Press, won the Crab Orchard Series. Her poems have appeared in Poetry, Slate, The Atlantic Monthly, and The Georgia Review. She has garnered fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Ohio Arts Council, the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, Bread Loaf, the Frederick Bock Prize from Poetry and Lavan Award for Younger Poets from the Academy of American Poets. She currently teaches at Ohio University, but is joining the University of Houston this fall.

Robert Boswell's latest novel, Century's Son, was published in April 2002 by Alfred A. Knopf, and just released in paperback by Picador. He is the author of six other books of fiction: American Owned Love, Living to Be 100, Mystery Ride, The Geography of Desire, Dancing in the Movies, and Crooked Hearts. He is the recipient of two National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships, a Guggenheim Fellowship, the Iowa School of Letters Award for Fiction, the PEN West Award for Fiction, and the Evil Companions Award. His stories have appeared in numerous publications including the New Yorker, Best American Short Stories, O'Henry Prize Stories, Ploughshares and the Harvard Review. He currently shares the Cullen Chair in Creative Writing at the University of Houston with his wife and writer, Antonya Nelson.
