Miranda Bennett

Head of Liaison Services for Collections & Research Support


Miranda is one of two co-managers of the Liaison Services Department, an innovative and dynamic group of subject and functional specialists working in the areas of instruction, outreach, collections, and research support. She is active in the Association for Library Collections and Technical Services, the American Theological Library Association, and the Texas Library Association, and has represented the UH Libraries on the UH Faculty Senate for several years. Her research interests include emerging approaches to library collections, trends in higher education, and leadership development.


Before coming to the UH Libraries in 2005, Miranda earned a Master of Library Science from Indiana University, an MA and PhD in Religious Studies from the University of Virginia, and a BA in Religious Studies and German from Rice University.
