Classes in the M.D. Anderson Library Reference Area
UH faculty and instructors from other area schools who wish to use the public computer workstations for informal, hands-on teaching of research methods in their classes must make prior arrangements for groups of more than four students in order not to disrupt the work of other library users in the area. Two options are offered:
1. Schedule a Library Instruction Session Instructors are encouraged to contact the Anderson Library and request a library session tailored to a specific course and the needs of the students in that course. The Anderson Library offers facilities with hands-on capabilities and librarians experienced in research methods and in providing an interactive learning experience.
2. Reserve Workstations in the Anderson Library - The M.D. Anderson Library may accommodate groups of up to 20 students for an informal session in the Reference Area, but only with prior approval.
- No more than ten computers will be reserved for group use at any one time.
- All requests must be made at least one week in advance of the date desired.
- Workstations may be reserved for group use for no more than two hours at a time.
- Group use is generally excluded between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, while UH classes are in session.
