Mark your calendars for an important discussion on library/librarian collaboration in the Houston area!
To address the difficult circumstances many libraries find themselves in today, a number of groups have come together across the Houston area to address particular library issues. The Houston Regional Libraries Group and the Scholarly Communication Group are just two of the many groups that have formed to collaborate to contain the damage caused by the turmoil of the last few years. Is there a need for a new organization to assist libraries of all types in the Houston area? What are the many groups that have formed to address issues? How can we work together to eliminate duplication of effort and to ensure greater success?
Please join us on Friday, December 9th, from 10am – 12 noon at the University of Houston’s M.D Anderson Library (Room 10-F) for a discussion of the issues. Directions and parking information for the UH campus can be found at: http://info.lib.uh.edu/about/maps-directions.
