Houston Information

Houston is the fourth largest city in the U.S. The 2000 edition of the Places Rated Almanac rates it 8th out of 354 metropolitan areas, giving it very high marks in arts, recreation, jobs, and transportation. For a major city, it has a relatively low cost of living (use the Salary Calculator to see how it compares to your current location), and the weather is temperate year-round.

Below are selected Web pages that will give you a quick orientation to the city. This is not intended to be a comprehensive list, but should help to give you a sense of the wide variety of opportunities and activities Houston has to offer.
