The trial is NOT a guarantee that this database will be purchased. Unlike SciFinder Scholar, there is no limit to the number of users who can access this database simultaneously. You will have to authenticate through the library in order to access this trial.

Scifinder Scholar is migrating to a Web version. While faculty and students may continue to use the SciFinder client, if it has already been installed on their computers, new users must register for the Web version. Individuals who are currently using the client are recommended to register for the Web version as well, given that complete migration to the Web version of SciFinder at the University of Houston is impending.

Our licence currently allows for 8 simultaneous users. This access is currently divided between the client (5) and the Web version (3). As the demand for access to the Web version increases, this ratio will change.

SciFinder Scholar - Web Version

First, Register for an account with your UH email address. You will receive a confirmation email immediately from the vendor.

Make sure your computer allows pop-ups.

Faculty and graduate students qualify for access to HAM-TMC Library

1) Obtain the registration form and instructions at the UH Library Service Desk.

2) Once you receive your card, fill out the Remote Access Registration form online

3) Search HAM-TMC databases, enter your username & Password when prompted
