A chemical dictionary and structure database.
ChemSpider is a chemistry search engine. It has been built with the intention of aggregating and indexing chemical structures and their associated information into a single searchable repository and make it available to everybody, at no charge.
NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) Data Gateway
This site provides data covering a broad range of substances and properties from many different scientific disciplines.
NMRShiftDB is a NMR Web database for organic structures and their nuclear magnetic resonance (nmr) spectra. It allows for spectrum prediction (13C, 1H and other nuclei) as well as for searching spectra, structures and other properties.
PubChem provides information on the biological activities of small molecules. It is a component of NIH's Molecular Libraries Roadmap Initiative.
Search over 200 common solvents by name, CAS number, or chemical formula physical. Available data include boiling point, water solubility, viscosity, octanol-water partition constant, flash point, and a variety of other properties.
In WebReactions you simply draw a complete reaction, i.e. the reaction as you might draw it into a lab journal. WebReactions will detect any reaction centers for you automatically and then retrieve about a dozen most similar reactions from the database.
