Students are required to compose a short manuscript and topic summary of a particular case that is of publishable quality. The student then presents a brief presentation to the faculty and their peers, and if requested, the student discusses all aspects of the case, e.g., pathophysiology, pharmacology, ancillary and laboratory interpretations, differential diagnosis and optional management protocols. The Optometry Library houses the bound editions of the Grand Rounds papers dating back to 1991, when they began. The Grand Rounds have proved to be an excellent resource.
