In War and In Peace:
An Exhibit Commemorating
the Sixtieth Anniversary of the Battle of Sunda Strait
and the Sinking of the U.S.S. Houston (CA-30)
About the Exhibit
Sixty years after the sinking of the U.S.S. Houston (CA-30), the University of Houston Libraries salutes the more than 70 survivors who are still living, the family members who have supported their loved ones in war and in peace, the Houston crew members who are no longer with us, and those who honor their memories. This exhibit tells the story of the crew of the U.S.S. Houston (CA-30) through their own words, and through historic materials selected from the Cruiser Houston Collection.
This smaller scale exhibit, curated by Julie Grob, is located in the Special Collections & Archives offices on the 8th floor of the M.D. Anderson Library on the University of Houston main campus.
