The postcards were scanned at 600 dpi at a size of 100%, and saved as high quality TIFFs that would serve as archival master images for future use. Next, copies of the TIFFs were enhanced using Photoshop's Curves command, every effort being made to accurately reproduce the colors in the original postcards. These enhanced copies were saved as compressed JPEGs at approximately 480 dpi width and 300 dpi height to serve as reference images on the web. From these JPEGs, thumbnail images for the web site were created, also in JPEG format, at approximately 120 dpi width and 75 dpi height.
The web site was created using Allaire HomeSite 4.0.
