Information Technology
Information Technology is comprised of the administrative Office of the Vice Chancellor and Vice President for Information Technology and three operational departments: Central Computing and Telecommunications Services, Management Information Services, and Technology Support Services. The Vice Chancellor and Vice President for Information Technology serves as the designated agency Information Resources Manager. The mission of Information Technology is to provide high quality and easy to use computing, telephone, data network and video communication service to the students, faculty and staff in support of instructional, research, service and academic support goals of the University of Houston. Currently the Vice President for Information Technology is Charles Shomper.
