Free Access to Back IssuesSome publishers offer free access to back issues of their journals as a way to expedite scholarly communication. However, the free access is preceded by an "embargo" period, which delays the access for three to 24 months or longer. One of the largest archives is provided by High Wire Press, a division of the Stanford University Libraries that produces the online versions of high-impact, peer-reviewed scientific research and clinical journals. |
