The M.D. Anderson Library offers a netbook circulation program with 6 laptop computers for UH main campus students to use within the library. These computers are equipped with internal wireless cards utilizing the wireless network operated and maintained by University of Houston Information Technology (UH IT). The wireless network is available on all floors.
Netbooks are available for checkout at the Service Desk on the 1st floor of the Gold Wing.
- Netbooks come with Windows XP, Internet Explorer, Netscape, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and the UH VPN Client.
- Borrowers need a CougarNet account to log on to laptops, as well as for access to network storage, printing, and the Internet. You can apply for an account with Technology Support Services located in the PGH Building, Room 116, or by phone at (713 743-1411).
