UH Libraries' Technology Training Program (TTP)
The University of Houston Libraries offer free instructor-led technology training to UH students, faculty, staff, and alumni.* Beginning, intermediate, and advanced skill level sessions are offered on a regular basis and classes area scheduled throughout the day/evening to accommodate as many users as possible.
In general, morning sessions are 10am - 12 noon, afternoon sessions are 2pm- 4pm, and evening sessions are 6pm- 8pm, although times may vary as needed. Classes are held in the Learning Commons Training Area (1st floor, M.D. Anderson Library).
This service was introduced by the UH Libraries as part of its 2013-2016 Strategic Directions in support of our efforts to target specific user groups with targeted services.
Here is a list of the current software titles in rotation each month:
Creative Suite 6
- Acrobat Pro XI
- Live Movie Maker
- Audition CS6
- Premier CS6
- EndNote (bibliographic citation management tool)
All classes are available on a first-come, first served basis. Registration is requested, but not required, except for groups of five or more (5+). Maximum class size is 15.
Other Services Offered
Open sessions are scheduled on a regular basis (e.g., 2-3 times a month) for UH users to stop by with questions and to work with the technology trainer one-on-one. In-person support only.
*Alumni are welcome on a space-available basis; priority is given to current UH students, faculty and staff.
