Wireless Laptop Computer Borrowing Program
The University of Houston Libraries are circulating 72 laptop computers to UH main campus students for use in the M. D. Anderson Library. These computers are equipped with internal wireless cards utilizing the wireless network operated and maintained by the University of Houston Information Technology Division. The wireless network is available on floors one through six.
Laptops are available for checkout at the Service Desk on the 1st floor of the Gold wing.
- Laptops come with Windows XP, Internet Explorer, Netscape, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and the UH VPN Client.
- Borrowers need a CougarNet account to log on to laptops, as well as for access to network storage, printing, and the Internet. You can apply for an account with Technology Support Services located in the PGH Building, Room 116, or by phone at (713 743-1411).
